Went to the vets

Haven’t been feeling too well recently. The humans have taken a bit long to notice. I’ve been limping and they spend many days wondering which leg it is. All this talk of Staffies being indestructable isn’t true. My leg hurts and I had been licking it but it hasn’t got better.

So they took me to that nice vets in Hampstead and at last someone understood (new vet, she was very nice). I’ve got to bed rest for 3 days and then only walk on lead for the next seven days. I’ve even got medication.

Unfortunately this means I won’t be able to see Suzie.

Ghostface

Saw this very intelligent chap on the TV. Unfortunately the humans just used him for comic effect. What he had to say was very moving and well thought out. But the humans just kept telling him to “shut it!”. He had a fantastic idea about world peace but it was wasted on the humans.

One day they will give a dog a proper platform to express their canine sensibilities.

The Future, track 4.0

Feel, dark, very dark, it is only 4pm and it is dark. I am black and I am at one with this darkness. Feel a bit down today and found this photo I took earlier in the year. At first I though someone had dropped some flowers but then I realised the tree had been planted for someone.

If you are following my blog you will notice that this post is posted in the future and re-calls the past. I am in my pretentious late 1980s phase (saw Blade Runner last night) and it made me think about mortality, a time to live and a time to die etc. But it is almost 7pm now and I want to go home, so mortality can wait until after supper.

A bit rock ‘n’ roll, part 3.

Some people might think that my music is all over the place and that I have the attention span of a gnat… er, what was I saying, oh yes, that some people might think that my music is all over the place and that I have the attention span of a gnat. It is not entirely true. But I’m just a bit eclectic which is almost spelled like electric but eclectic is a word that has collected one more letter.

Track Too, I’m a little bit country

The album is progressing, just done track 2. Saw a documentary about a human called Plant (weird, are there flora called fish?) and he was some sort of rock god, from back in the day when TV was in black and white and dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and the people that  took lots of drugs then, now rule the country …anyway, my female parent goes a bit funny when Mr Plant is on TV… he seemed like a very nice bloke though and did a country album a couple of years ago. I felt inspired. If he was a dog I think he’d be a Red setter, but blonde.

Goody two shoes

Went to Kenwood House to meet two opera singers, usual kind of weekend activity for me. They needed to see me, wanted to talk about singing loud and stuff. Had a very nice cooked English breakfast and talked about Verdi, Puccini, Bizet… you know all the usual opera folks…But then out of the corner of my eye…Just look at these three dogs! Who are they impressing? Not me… they are such conformists. La boheme they are not.
